		Name: Mike Monteiro City/State: Middletown, CT First Truck: HPI Savage First Car: Xray T1 Touring Car (2002) Second Car: Xray FK05 Touring Car (2004) Present car: Xray T2 007 / Darkside MX2 Years Racing: 6 Sponsors: Full Throttle Motorsports, TQ Cells, BSR Tires & Speedzone Hobbies I got into this hobby to have fun with the dog. He had something to chase and I had something to play with. I had to get some part's for it (go figure) and saw them racing touring cars, and I was hooked from that moment on. Now I race the electric 27T, 19T, and mod classes, and started running buggies this year. As you can tell I'm a huge Xray fan. I like to travel around to different places to race and meet new people. Mostly around New England and N.Y. I also go to major races like the Snowbird Nationals and Cleveland Nationals and hopefully someday the Vegas IIC race. I'm also right there to help you out if you have a question or just need a hand. There have been alot of good racers that have helped me along the way and this is my chance to give back to the sport. Got back into competitive racing in January 2005 with a dusted off TC3. I am now back into the Electric Off road scene with a Kyosho RB5 2wd Buggy and a Kyosho ZX5 4wd. I get the most satisfaction in the hobby from seeing someone I've helped enjoy themselves and improve both on the track driving and off the track with their tuning skills. Not to mention seeing the skills of my 8 year old grow each time on the track.

I started racing carpet in 2006 with a Mi2 Schumacher, Corally RDX and then Xray T2 the beginning of 2007. Since then I have changed over to a Losi JRX-S Type R this summer. I have traveled over New England last year and plan to expand to the Birds in 2009. I also enjoy the off-road scene but my heart is in the carpet. I have made some great friends in my travels and hope to make many more. If you ever need a hand at the track feel free to ask.
